We understand that getting your results is important to you. We know you want them quickly, but it is equally important that we give you the score that reflects your performance.

You can expect your IELTS results to be available 13 calendar days after your test for IELTS on Paper and 3-5 calendar days after your test for IELTS on Computer.

IELTS results online and by post

You will be able to preview your results online from 13:00 hr. onwards on the 13th day after the main test day.

Test Report Form (TRF)

You will receive one copy of the TRF. Unfortunately, replacements cannot be issued if you lose it.

Additional Test Report Forms (TRFs) for institutions

We can also arrange for additional original copies up to a maximum of five (Up to two years following the test date) to be posted to receiving institutions (e.g. universities, immigration officers, etc.). If you would like us to do this, please fill in the relevant name and addresses to our form and send email to us at examinations@britishcouncil.or.th .

Institutions need original copies of your TRF. Photocopies of your TRF will not be accepted. If you want us to produce and send another institutional copy of your TRF, you will be asked to pay an administration fee of 500 Baht per copy plus an extra courier fee if you require. We will mail your copy to the recipient directly, therefore, you need to provide the institutions’ address and fill in the "Extra TRF request form" at the Registration Point. Please note that we are unable to issue TRF of test result beyond two years.

Institutions may be able to view candidates’ scores through the IELTS TRF Verification Service. To do this they will need your TRF number which can be found in the bottom right corner of your Test Report Form.

Validity period of Test Report Form

Institutions will not usually accept a Test Report Form that is more than two years old. After this time, you will need to provide them with evidence that you have maintained or improved your English since taking the test.

Enquiry on Results (EOR)

You need to apply for a re-marking no later than six weeks after the test date, regardless of whether you have taken IELTS on Paper IELTS on Computer.

You can submit an Enquiry on Results online from the Test Taker Portal. Alternatively, you can download the Enquiry on Results Form click here and submit it to the test centre where you sat the test. Make sure you attach your proof of payment.

Can I re-take the test?

You can take the test as many times as you wish. However, to significantly improve your score you will need to undertake further study. Research by IELTS indicates that scores are unlikely to improve without further English language tuition.
