Computer-delivered IELTS

Same IELTS, same price, more choice.

As IELTS is the world’s most popular English proficiency test for higher education and migration, British Council is continually seeking to make enhancements to improve our test takers’ test experience.

British Council now offers the choice of taking IELTS on paper or on computer. With computer-delivered IELTS, there are more test dates and test sessions available, allowing test takers to choose IELTS at a time convenient for them. Test takers can also receive their computer-delivered IELTS results within 5 to 7 days.

The test content, timing and structure remain the same with either option. The Speaking test is still conducted face-to-face with a certified IELTS examiner.

The aim of computer-delivered IELTS is to provide more options to IELTS test takers, while retaining the test’s current security, trust and integrity.
