Registration
Can I choose which test version to take? Certainly, you can choose the test version that suits you best. 
Which test is best for me? This comes down to personal preference and choice. Some test takers are more used to paper-based exams as they are similar to exams taken at school, whereas other test takers might feel more comfortable typing. Test takers are encouraged to choose the test format that they feel comfortable taking.
Is test registration the same as paper-based test? Yes, you can register online or in person at the local British Council office. [country to localise]
Is the price same as paper-based test? Yes, the price is the same as a paper-based test which is XXX [country to localise] but with a faster results turnaround in 5 to 7 days.
I need special arrangements to take IELTS, can I still sit the computer-delivered test? Test takers who require special arrangements are encouraged to contact their local British Council office to assess their requirements and discuss whether the paper-based or computer-delivered IELTS suits them better.
 Test content, marking, length
 Is it the same content as a paper-based test? The computer-delivered test will cover the listening, reading and writing skills. The test will be the same as paper-based IELTS in terms of content, scoring, level of difficulty and question types. The Speaking test is not changing and will still be carried out with a certified IELTS Examiner.
 Is the test marked by a computer or by a person?  The Reading and Listening sections are auto-marked by a computer while the Writing and Speaking sections will continue to be marked by a certified IELTS examiner.
 Is the length of test same as a paper-based test?  Yes, the test will take around 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Can I choose to take some sections on paper and others on computer?  You can choose to take the Listening, Reading and Writing sections either on paper or computer. The Speaking section will be conducted face-to-face with a certified IELTS examiner.
Preparation

There is also practice tests available at [insert practice tests download on IELTS Asia]. As the questions and tasks on the computer-delivered test are the same as the paper-based test, the practice tests are suitable for all test takers.

In-test  
 Do I get to choose which test section to start with?  Unfortunately no, all test takers will begin with the same section.
 How can I take notes and highlight keywords while taking the test?  You will be allowed to change the font colour and insert comments on the interface directly.
 For the Listening section, will headphones or broadcast system be used?  A set of headphone will be provided to each test taker.
 Can I bring my own headphone, keyboard and laptop?  Unfortunately no. There is no need to bring your own equipment as all of them will be provided by the test centre and no additional equipment is permitted.
Post-test  
 When will I receive my results after taking the computer-delivered IELTS?  You will receive your results 5 to 7 days after you complete the last section of your test.
 Is the Test Report Form the same as a paper-based test?  Yes, the Test Report Form is the same and it is not stated on the Form which test format you have taken.
