I am both ecstatic and humbled to have been awarded the IELTS Prize. The IELTS Prize will help cover most of the daily expenses associated with living and studying in the UK. It will also provide me with the financial wherewithal to enrol in extracurricular enrichment programmes that will enhance my undergraduate experience, such as the introductory language courses run by the Oxford Language Centre.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours), Monash University
I am really grateful to have been awarded the prestigious IELTS Prize by British Council. Winning this Prize has assisted me in pursuing my dream of studying abroad. I am currently studying Medicine in Monash University in Melbourne and it has been an eye-opening experience thus far.
Taking IELTS helped me to understand that language does not merely encompass written capability but also the ability to speak, read and listen; all of which are crucial in ensuring effective communication. Having had some exposure to clinical environments in medical school and hospital attachments, I can safely say that communication is essential in a patient-centric healthcare system. I am thankful to British Council for this amazing opportunity.
