IELTS is accepted by Vietnam as evidence of English language proficiency. If you are applying to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level in Vietnam, it is likely that you will be required to present your IELTS result as part of your application.
IELTS is widely accepted as a reliable evaluation of English language proficiency in the Vietnamese Education sector.
Almost all universities and education institutions in Vietnam require an IELTS score of 4 or above for entrance, and an IELTS score of between 4.5 and 7 (equivalent to between B1 and C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) for graduation. This range varies according to faculty.
12th grade students who have received an IELTS score of 4 or above will be exempted from the national English language exit exam, equivalent to 10 points in the local education system.
